Sile Seoige Ladies Day Galway Races 2019

When the gorgeous Sile Seoige asked me to design and custom make her a piece for the Galway Races I was so thrilled, not only is Sile a Galway girl like myself she is also a dear friend. Sile was given the task to Judge Best Dressed at Galway Ladies Day. Anyone that knows anything about Ladies Day knows that the Galway meet is the biggest and the best. Thousands of women…..and men turn up to the racecourse, all with the eye on the prize. Contenders this year were asked to make their looks fun, fresh and different.

Sile would have to stand out herself while she mingled with the crowd given the job to identify Best Dressed. From the very start Sile was open to anything … “What about Pink” I said as we sat in the gorgeous surrounds of The Ivy. “lets do it” sile replied with so much trust in me, it made me nervous! I knew sile liked a collar she told me that and pockets!! So I started to sketch and come up with an idea of a dress that felt relaxed yet had the punch and glamour we needed for her that day.

The result was a stunning Pink Satin Shirt style dress that featured a high low hem, a stunning wide collar, cuffs and pockets!!! Sile intrusted another Galway talent Emily Jean Milliner to design her head piece. The result of which was just breathtakingly beautiful. I had no doubt had sile been a participant herself that day she surely would have walked away with the crown!
